I have an old banner or sign; can you remove the vinyl and replace it with a new design? In most cases we can do this for you as long as the banner is in good condition, it is a metal sign or if it is a type of signboard other than Medex. Medex is made by pressing wood fibers like sawdust together with glue. We do not use Medex because when you try to take vinyl off or you bump it, or nail it, it tends to crumble. We use a medium density board that is made like plywood then the outside is covered with a coating to seal it. Can I add photos? Yes, we can print a picture from a photo up to 60 inches wide. You can use the photo as your project or as a part of your project. Are there differences between types of vinyl? Like anything there are different grades of materials. You would think a thicker vinyl would be better, but this is not the case. What makes one vinyl better than another is how it is made. We try to use cast vinyl for all of our products, but if we do have to use a calendered for a specialized type of vinyl we will get at least a 6 year vinyl. How long can I expect my sign to last? Metal and wood signs without being damaged from unusual sources should last up to 7 years and if laminated up to 10 years. Most plastic signs can be damaged from sunlight and unless we know what the exposure will be it is very difficult to predict how long it will last. What if my sign is damaged when I receive it? If your sign was damaged in shipping please note the damage to the shipper. All items shipped are insured and will be replaced as soon as the shipping company sends notification of responsibility of the damage. What if I do not like my sign after I receive it? You will be designing your sign and we will be printing or applying vinyl as per your specifications. All printed signs and banners will be printed directly from your design. Unless you note that you need exact measurements to a sign or banner for vinyl placement we reserve the right to be within 2% of the actual measurement. Please make sure that you are sending us what you want. We do not refund because you changed your mind, but if you decide that you want to change your design we can give you a quote for changing a sign or banner with vinyl. We can not do anything about a printed banner. How long will it take to make my sign? It depends on what type of sign you are having made. If you are having a sign or banner made that does not require painting our normal turn-around time is 5 working days. If painting will be required as in a sign made of MDO material then the normal turn-around time will be 10 to 15 working days. We must insure that the paint it dry before putting the vinyl over it. If we do not do this, your sign could not last as long as expected. |
