At Signet Signs and Advertising we strive to give you value in the products you order from us. When you order any of our products, you know that you are getting the best quality product at a fair price. We only use products that are developed for the sign industry. Some companies use a product called Medex that I was told was developed as a wall bearer for showers in mobile homes. It does not last as an outside sign board, so we do not use it.
The vinyl we use has at least a 5 to 9 year expected life. We have the ability to laminate all of the products that we sell. Lamination will increase the life of your sign as a blocker of UV light and a barrier to debris.
From pricing to delivery we look at each project from the customer’s point of view. Our success has come from constantly asking ourselves, if we were buying this product would we feel it was fair? We treat every item as if the world is going to judge our company from the workmanship in that one item.
To insure that you are getting what you ordered we print a picture of your artwork and it stays with your project from start to finish. We do this to help insure that your project is done correctly, the way you want it. We do make mistakes just like anyone else, but through our quality control measures in ten years of printing we have only had two items with a flaw make it to a customer. In both cases we replaced the items right a way.
Art work
In most cases we ask that you supply your art work using our sign design page or send it as a TIFF with sign dimensions.
Colors
For printed pictures our printer prints in a CMYK format. Your computer screen is in a RGB format. There can be a slight color shift from what you see on your screen to what is printed by us. In most cases it is not noticeable, but if you need an exact color match we can do a color match that requires a person manually adjusting the colors and doing test prints until there is a match to what is seen on the screen. There is a $35 charge for this service and you will be sent a test print to sign off on it before the item is printed.
Vinyl colors and textures are mandated by the vinyl manufacturers. Because we do have a printer with a pantone color match system we can print any pantone color and cut out the shape. There is a charge of $1 per square foot of printed area rounded up. What this means is that you will only pay for the area that the ink is put onto the vinyl for the object. If you have any questions about this service please email your question with a phone number and best time to reach you, and a service rep will call you and answer your question.
Extra color vinyl charge. This charge is where two colors are placed on top of each other, not that there is more than one color on the sign or banner. To illustrate this, if I were to use vinyl to make the Signet logo I would place a piece of vinyl the size and shape of the red on the banner. I would then place a piece of vinyl the size and shape of the gold, and then the same with the black lettering. I would now have three layers of vinyl on my sign and this is where I would be charged for the extra colors. If I had four stars one red, one white, one yellow and one blue and you put one in each corner, this would not cause any extra charge. If you have any questions about this service please email your question with a phone number and best time to reach you, and a service rep will call you and answer your question.
Production time
Custom work can take between 10 and 15 days to ship from the time we have received your order. When your order is taken, your order will go into a queue to be produced on first come first served basis. There are two production queues, painted and non-painted signs. A painted sign will take longer because of drying of the paint. A non-custom sign can ship within 3 days.
Returns
If you experience damage to your item from shipping please note damage at receipt of shipment. If your cell phone has a camera on it, please take pictures of the damage. All shipments are insured and will be replaced upon approval from the shipping company. For any return please contact customer service for a RMA number.
